Digital Accessibility

The Town of LaCrosse is working to make its website and online documents accessible and usable for residents, visitors, and employees, including people who use assistive technology.

Accessibility standard

Washington State digital accessibility guidance currently references WCAG 2.1 Level AA for state agencies, and Washington technology policy is moving agencies toward stronger accessibility planning. The Town is using WCAG 2.2 Level AA as its practical target because WCAG 2.2 builds on WCAG 2.1 and provides an equal or greater accessibility experience.

What we are improving

  • Clear page titles, headings, and link text.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Keyboard access and visible focus indicators.
  • Readable text size, color contrast, and mobile-friendly page behavior.
  • Accessible PDF forms, notices, agendas, minutes, and other public documents where possible.

Request help or report a barrier

If you have difficulty accessing any page, file, form, or service on this website, please contact the Town Clerk/Treasurer. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the information in an accessible format.
